Chris Parker

Chris Parker is a percussion performer, instructor, arranger, and administrator based in Atlanta, Georgia. Chris is one of the co-creators of Apex Percussion along with Jake Lyons, Marcus Neudigate, and Konstantine Vlasis. His goal has been to bring percussion music to the forefront of today's culture through a mix of viral videos, covers to popular songs, and standard but engaging percussion literature.

Chris Parker is a graduate of Sullivan South High School and Tennessee Tech. Chris has been a performer for Odyssey Percussion Theatre, Spirit of Atlanta, Phantom Regiment, and Music City Mystique, placing in World Class Finals 4 times through his career. He has been on instructional staff with Spirit of Atlanta, Music City Drum Corps, Palmetto Percussion, Equinox Percussion, and several high schools across the southeast.

As an alumnus of Tennessee Tech, Chris had the privilege of arranging several pieces for the Tennessee Tech Drumline, performing countless world and continental premieres with the Tennessee Tech Percussion Ensemble, and performing at PASIC twice with the Tennessee Tech Percussion Ensemble. In the professional drumming community, Chris has performed for the Atlanta Hawks Drumline, the Atlanta Braves drumline, and had the honor to help organize, lead, and perform with the group in the Super Bowl LIII Halftime show, playing on Pearl Drums for millions of viewers and fans.

Chris graduated from Tennessee Tech in 2017 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and works as a Loss Prevention Consultant. In his free time, Chris enjoys extreme endurance challenges, Crossfit, and practicing for his next YouTube video.
